Santorini is a volcanic, croissant-shaped island in the southern Aegean.

Normally we would complain about over-tourism, but this year because of the pandemic, the island is empty.

This is one of the most famous postcard pictures on this island,

The dome symbolizes the sky, basically the vault of the sky, and if it's painted blue, it's the color of the heavens.

Santorini has 14 villages. I recommend, besides the very famous ones, to give the smaller villages a try.

My personal favorite villages are Megalochori, Pyrgos and Emporio.

This is supposed to be the high season, but the beaches are empty.
