First we are going to choose a sock for our puppet. For this design I recommend

Next we are going to make the mouth plate which forms the structure for the mouth.

Once you have positioned the material where you want it, roll the sock back

Getting the direction just right is important if you want the puppet to look like it's making

Use a comb or a cat brush to brush out the yarn strands.
